Berkeley Castle Wedding Photographers – Claire & Chris

Claire & Chris were married at Woodchester Priory, a beautiful church high on a hill in Nailsworth. The groom’s party wore kilts and as it was very windy day, all the girls were just wondering ‘what if the wind just whipped up a bit more?’  But it didn’t although I was ready with the camera!  After the ceremony, Claire & Chris were driven to Berkeley Castle in a 1929 Vintage Cadillac, an amazing car driven by Steve, who is always so friendly and keeps the car immaculate.  Berkeley Castle is amazing and steeped in history: one of our favourite venues.  Read More

The Manor House Hotel Wedding Photographer – Laura & James

We had a lovely drive to Laura & James’ wedding in Moreton-in Marsh through a very lush, green looking countryside, could it be something to do with all the rain we’ve had recently?  Chris met the groom’s party at the Manor House Hotel before walking to the church, the men trying to work out how to hold their top hats which always causes some hilarity.  Over at the bride’s house, the corks were popping and Laura and her bridesmaids were relaxing into their roles.  Laura had opted for a Mori Lee gown with lacing at the back and after a Read More

The Manor House, Moreton-in-Marsh Wedding Photographers – Rebekah & Tim

It was lovely to see Rebekah & Tim again after doing their pre-wedding shoot in May.  Back then, we had an evening with beautiful, warm sunshine and now after all the rain of recent weeks, what did the weather have in store for us today?  The couple had chosen the Manor House Hotel in Moreton-in-Marsh to celebrate their wedding and were hoping for an outside ceremony but with dark clouds looming on the horizon, this was a switched to inside.  Afterwards, guests enjoyed Pimm’s in the gardens whilst we whisked Rebekah & Tim off for some quiet time in the Read More

The Bay Tree Hotel Wedding Photographer – Corrina & Richard

Corrina & Richard had wished for a very relaxed wedding at The Bay Tree in Burford and with the hotel’s excellent, personal touch, they certainly had a lovely day.  The Bay Tree is a  great venue in all weathers (but we had blue skies today!) and to celebrate the Golden Jubilee, it was adorned in union flag bunting.  Corrina looked so beautiful in a Caroline Castigliano ivory, silk gown and she smiled and laughed all day.  After their intimate ceremony in the conservatory, guests enjoyed canapés & Pimms in the garden and the sun shone: quite unusual for this summer!  Read More

Kingscote Barn Wedding Photographers – Jessica & Martyn

We awoke to another wet day!  However, Jessica & Martyn were not going to let a ‘little’ rain spoil their special day, celebrating their wedding at Kingscote Barn, a venue which we love with its spectacular views.  So much thought had gone into the little touches: vintage name signs, candles, a huge mirror as a table plan, bunting, wishing trees, we had great fun photographing everything.  Jessica looked stunning in a gown from the Enzoani ‘s Blue collection: embroidered lace with a soft overlay of tulle and ruched bodice.  Jessica wore a precious stone and Swarovski crystal halter neck piece Read More

Tortworth Court Wedding Photographer – Kathy & Mike

It was lovely to see Kathy & Mike again after doing their pre-wedding shoot in April.  The couple had flown over from Chicago for their wedding and it was lovely to see that so many friends and family had flown over to celebrate with them.  As a surprise, especially for the American guests, an old fashioned red London bus was used to ferry the guests to the ceremony.  Kathy & Mike were married at the Methodist Church in Thornbury and held their reception at Tortworth Court.  Although the rain had held off, it was blowing a gale and poor Kathy Read More

The Mansion House & Riverstation Wedding Photographer – Charlotte & Simon

Charlotte & Simon had chosen two very different venues to celebrate their wedding in Bristol: The Mansion House in Clifton, with its Victorian grandeur and the Riverstation; a vibrant restaurant with wonderful views of the harbour.  Charlotte was getting ready at a local hotel and on arrival, we found the lifts out of order so we had to climb 12 flights of steps, thank goodness our recent holiday in St Ives had involved lots cliff walking!  Leesa Goodway’s makeup looked very natural and it was nice to find that Leesa is very local to where we live.  Charlotte looked beautiful Read More

Georgina & Alex – Pre-wedding Shoot

After going through the final arrangements for Georgie & Alex’s wedding, we headed off to Tintern Abbey to do their photo shoot.  Being the Jubilee weekend, it was really busy but we managed to find a quiet corner and even though a few people were intrigued by what we were up to, Georgie & Alex were soon engrossed in having their photos taken and after a few minutes, the natural smiles and laughter appeared, providing the relaxed photos we like to take.  It was nice to get to know each other over a drink and we look forward to photographing Read More

Rebekah & Tim – Pre-wedding shoot

We met Rebekah & Tim at The Manor House, Moreton-in-Marsh to do their pre-wedding shoot and finalise the details of their wedding in a few weeks time.  Rebekah & Tim admitted to being a little nervous and the fact that a large number of hotel guests were sitting outside enjoying the evening sunshine, made it even more daunting.  The walled garden was more secluded so they soon relaxed and enjoyed the photo shoot there.  I always say that a pre-wedding shoot is an excellent idea as it gets the couples used to the way we work and of course, having Read More

The Bishop’s Palace Wedding Photographer – Gemma & Russell

Gemma & Russell were married in the picturesque Somerset village of West Lydford.  You couldn’t ask for a more idyllic church: next to a river with a weeping willow and reached by crossing an old, stone bridge.  After the ceremony and a few photographs, guests made their way to The Bishop’s Palace for the reception and we chose to follow the two 1929 Vintage Austin Heavy Burnham cars (Tilly & Lilly from Memories Forever and with a top speed of 37mph!) through the winding narrow lanes.  After chatting with their guests and enjoying a glass of bubbly, we took Gemma Read More

Kingscote Barn Wedding Photographers – Jo & Simon

Jo & Simon’s wedding was fun, fun, fun!  It was an early start for us as Chris was covering the groom’s party getting ready (including a giant game of chess!) at the Cotswold Water Park and I was taking photos of the girls getting ready at one of our favourite venues, Kingscote Barn.  Simon and his guests arrived on a red double decker bus, one of the old fashioned type with the open back and pole to grab hold of, providing some great photographic opportunities.  After the ceremony, the guests enjoyed champagne and canapés on the terrace whilst others played Read More

Cripps Stone Barn Wedding – Lyndsey & Kevin

Cripps Stone Barn. We awoke to find sunshine and blue sky: hooray after all the rain we’ve experienced lately.  On arrival at the church, we were treated to a wee bit of Scotland as all men from the groom’s family, including the groom himself, were dressed in kilts.  The little boys looked adorable in their kilts as they played hide and seek in the church grounds.  Lyndsey looked amazing in a ivory silk gown by Suzanne Neville, with a high neckline in French lace and low back with ruching detail.  It suited her to a tee.  After the ceremony, the Read More
