Berkeley Castle Wedding Photographers – Claire & Chris

Claire & Chris were married at Woodchester Priory, a beautiful church high on a hill in Nailsworth. The groom’s party wore kilts and as it was very windy day, all the girls were just wondering ‘what if the wind just whipped up a bit more?’  But it didn’t although I was ready with the camera!  After the ceremony, Claire & Chris were driven to Berkeley Castle in a 1929 Vintage Cadillac, an amazing car driven by Steve, who is always so friendly and keeps the car immaculate.  Berkeley Castle is amazing and steeped in history: one of our favourite venues.  Family & friends were greeted by a piper playing the bagpipes with the sound resonating over the valley below.  We whisked Claire & Chris off around the gardens for some romantic photos by the fountain and lily pond, the gardens were looking lovely on this beautiful summer’s day.  We were intrigued by some brightly coloured jam jars on the steps to the Great Hall, a bit unusual we thought and Claire explained that the children in her class had decorated them to celebrate their wedding.  A very personal touch!  With their colour scheme of ivory and purples, The Great Hall was adorned with sweet peas, roses & lisianthus by Sorori making it look magnificent.  Maybe the jam jars will come in handy for all their flowers after all ……!
