Westonbirt Wedding – Woodland Celebration

We were looking forward to a ‘blooming’ good day at Westonbirt Arboretum and with all the flowers bursting into colour, it didn’t disappoint.  The couple had opted for the Arboretum for a very relaxed, informal wedding and with lots of children running around, there was plenty of room for them to let off steam.  When we arrived, Gareth was already making himself at home with family & friends at the al fresco coffee shop.  Louise had stressed again and again that she never wore dresses, always jeans so I was rather taken aback when she stepped out of the car Read More

Brympton House Wedding – Katherine & Brett

Katherine & Brett had chosen Brympton House for their wedding venue as it was local to them and as it was listed as “one of Somerset’s finest Stately Homes” how could this fail to deliver on the ‘WOW’ factor for a wedding and it certainly did not let us down.  We arrived very early and were shown around by Ellie & Grace, who were very welcoming.  The bridal suite was huge and I had plenty of fun photographing Kath, Anna & Isabel getting ready.  Chris was already photographing the ‘men in kilts’, maybe we should have swapped roles on this Read More

Brympton House Wedding Photographer

Magical, we love this photo; Katherine & Brett sharing a few special moments together whilst their guests were seated for their wedding breakfast.  As the sun streamed through the windows, Chris captured this beautiful moment.  Brympton House is an amazing venue, we can’t wait to share more photos with you. Cadbury House Wedding Photographers – Becky & Darren

We had been looking forward to this day ever since we had received an unexpected e-mail from Darren saying he had a surprise arranged for Becky.  You’ll have to read on to find out what the surprise was!  Chris and I were greeted by broad, grinning smiles from both Becky and her 3 bridesmaids who were all very well organised.  This is the first wedding we have photographed in a long time where the whole bridal party was ready ahead of schedule.  No last minute panics, nobody rushing around to locate those vintage ear-rings granny had given or trying to Read More

The Bay Tree Wedding Photographers – Yen & Dries

Back again to The Bay Tree today, we love this venue: it has such character and the staff are so efficient & friendly, the food tastes pretty good too!  I love the story of how Yen & Dries met in Barcelona: Dries was at a conference and Yen was holidaying on her own after her sister was unable to join her.  Alone and at a loose end, they both decided to book themselves on a cycling tour around the city and the rest is history.  Fate was definitely intervening that day.  With family & guests flying in from Taiwan and Read More

The Bay Tree Wedding Photographers – Rachel & Neil

MARCH! Can someone please tell this weather that it is March and we are all waiting for Spring to arrive!  Heavy snow was forecast so we decided to follow the boy scout motto and ‘be prepared’ so we opted to take the 4×4 and bump along the country lanes to Burford.  We had our wellies, blanket, flask of whisky (sorry that should say hot drink) and shovel ready for action but we were greeted by an icing sugar dusting of snow, how disappointing. We love weddings at The Bay Tree, a beautiful 16th Century Inn set in the Cotswold and Read More

Tortworth Court Wedding Photographer – Kelly & Gareth

The weather was amazing for April, such glorious sunshine.  Kelly and Gareth got married at the lovely hill top church in Old Sodbury: the views were spectacular.  Kelly arrived with her father in an open-topped car and emerged wearing a Justin Alexander dress, with layer upon layer of white tulle, the top layer being scattered with sequins and the silk bodice encrusted in Swarovski crystals.  Kelly wanted to look like a princess and she certainly did that!  Tortworth Court was the location for their reception and guests were greeted with sparkling, blue champagne to complement with their colour scheme.  We Read More

The Bishop’s Palace Wedding Photographer – Gemma & Russell

Gemma & Russell were married in the picturesque Somerset village of West Lydford.  You couldn’t ask for a more idyllic church: next to a river with a weeping willow and reached by crossing an old, stone bridge.  After the ceremony and a few photographs, guests made their way to The Bishop’s Palace for the reception and we chose to follow the two 1929 Vintage Austin Heavy Burnham cars (Tilly & Lilly from Memories Forever and with a top speed of 37mph!) through the winding narrow lanes.  After chatting with their guests and enjoying a glass of bubbly, we took Gemma Read More

Cripps Stone Barn Wedding – Lyndsey & Kevin

Cripps Stone Barn. We awoke to find sunshine and blue sky: hooray after all the rain we’ve experienced lately.  On arrival at the church, we were treated to a wee bit of Scotland as all men from the groom’s family, including the groom himself, were dressed in kilts.  The little boys looked adorable in their kilts as they played hide and seek in the church grounds.  Lyndsey looked amazing in a ivory silk gown by Suzanne Neville, with a high neckline in French lace and low back with ruching detail.  It suited her to a tee.  After the ceremony, the Read More

The Bath Spa Hotel Wedding Photographer – Elizabeth & Jules

On arrival at the Bath Spa Hotel, we were greeted by two very excited little bridesmaids, Rosie & Martha who just couldn’t wait to get into their pretty little dresses.  Elizabeth looked amazing in a Caroline Castigliano dress and Di Hassall’s vintage inspired embroidered shoes with organza ribbon.  As the bridal party waited nervously in the church entrance, the St Edmund’s School Chamber Choir sang ‘Love Divine’.  Elizabeth, arm in arm with her father, walked down the aisle to a ‘Fanfare and Wedding March’ composed by Jules especially for his beautiful bride.  With three choirs in the church, the singing Read More

The Bay Tree Hotel Wedding Photographers – Julie & Tom

The wedding season is upon us and it was lovely to kick it off with Julie & Tom’s, a very happy couple who didn’t stop smiling and laughing all day.  We love photographing weddings at The Bay Tree, a beautiful 16th Century Inn set in the Cotswolds so it was a great day for us too.  Julie & Tom arranged their whole wedding from New Zealand; what a challenge that must have been! It was lovely to see that so many friends had flown over to celebrate with them.  The couple had hoped to hold their ceremony outside but after Read More
