We had a lovely drive to Laura & James’ wedding in Moreton-in Marsh through a very lush, green looking countryside, could it be something to do with all the rain we’ve had recently? Chris met the groom’s party at the Manor House Hotel before walking to the church, the men trying to work out how to hold their top hats which always causes some hilarity. Over at the bride’s house, the corks were popping and Laura and her bridesmaids were relaxing into their roles. Laura had opted for a Mori Lee gown with lacing at the back and after a nervous start, Mandy had soon mastered the art of lacing it up. The ceremony was held at the local church of St David’s and during the signing of the register, James’ niece and bridesmaid, Emily, played the flute wonderfully. I nipped outside to do a weather check and was amused to see the bell ringers sprinting up the path; is there a shortage of bell ringers? Laura & James, followed by their family & friends, walked to the hotel to be greeted by Tom with a Summer Pimm’s although I am using the word ‘summer’ very loosely this year. After a few photos in the secret garden, the umbrellas were hoisted which meant a quick dash to the summer house….. again!
