Baby Bump Photography – Mary

I had a lovely time with Mary recently, photographing her baby bump.  It was a nippy December day so I made sure the studio was nice and toasty.  Although Mary admitted that she wasn’t a model, she had a great time.  I love to work with shadow & light in relaxed surroundings to give a variety of different moods to the photos: here are a few of my favourites.  For more details of pregnancy and newborn photo sessions, please contact Gillian. This is what Mary said to her friends about her recent session “Just had my ‘bump’ photo session. Quite Read More

Kingscote Barn Wedding Photographer – Lisa & Andy – Pre-wedding photo shoot

We met Lisa & Andy at Kingscote Barn to do their pre-wedding shoot and finalise the details of their wedding.  I clicked with Lisa when we first met back in January so I knew there wouldn’t be any trouble with conversation, if anything, it was going to be difficult to stop us chatting.  We had a beautiful, autumnal day but oh my goodness, the wind was bitter so we didn’t hang around.  After lots of fun taking photos of Lisa & Andy and a ‘very obstinate’ remembrance poppy, we headed for the local pub (just for a coffee!) to go Read More

Westonbirt Arboretum Photography – Lily

I had a lovely time photographing Lily at Westonbirt Arboretum recently.  I wanted to capture the fun that children have when they go in search of different coloured leaves.  They come in all shapes and sizes, wet, dry, soggy, muddy (the leaves that is!) and all are stuffed into that bag to be taken home for that all important task of making a collage…… or maybe not!  I took some beautiful photos of Lily doing just that, gathering leaves and here are a few of my favourites.   Read More

Portrait Shoot – Eli

We photographed Naomi & Chris’ wedding at Tortworth Court a few of years ago and the couple have just celebrated the birth of their son, Eli.  They had no hesitation in asking us to take professional photos and I am so pleased they did, as it was lovely to catch up over a cup of coffee.  We had a lovely relaxed time, Eli was as good as gold as we took photos of a proud Mum & Dad holding their precious little bundle.  It also looks like Eli is getting ready for his first Christmas! If you are interested in Read More

The English Riviera (better known as Torquay!)

Chris & I grabbed a few days away in Torquay, look at the weather, it was great!!  If it hadn’t been for the woolly jumpers, we could have easily been in the South of France.  Have Cannes or Nice got a Ferris Wheel? Probably not.  These are a few of our favourite photos showing the lovely harbour and seafront. Read More

Westonbirt Arboretum Photography

We’ve visited Westonbirt Arboretum many times in the last few weeks, capturing the autumn colours in photos.  As members and recommended wedding photographers for this venue, we go at all times of the year including the cold, bleak winter months, when there are hardly any visitors.  At this busy time of the year, every day looks so very different and with beautiful colours: golds, reds, purples and yellows. Not only do we like photographing leaves and trees, Chris loves photographing mushrooms and I don’t think you can beat a bit of colourful ‘leaf litter’!  After a nice long walk, there Read More

Wyck Hill House Hotel Wedding Photographer – Cherith & Rob

We haven’t had the opportunity of photographing a wedding at Wyck Hill House before so we were really looking forward to Cherith & Rob’s special day.  Cherith’s bridesmaids, Linda & Maddie, had the timing off to a tee and had even saved the instructions on how to lace up the back of the dress on a mobile phone. The couple got married at St Lawrence’s Church in the picturesque Cotswold village of Bourton-on-the-Water and we were greeted by a very relaxed vicar who gave an excellent sermon and who compared marriage to dancing and even squeezed a reference to ‘Strictly Read More

Cripps Stone Barn Wedding Photographer – Jo & Nick

Cripps Stone Barn. The weather forecast had promised torrential rain all afternoon but luckily for us, it did not materialise until the wedding breakfast.  Maybe it was all the umbrellas being clutched by the guests that did the trick ……!   Jo and her bridesmaids, Nicky, Hannah, Emma & Jo were getting ready at Barnsley House and there was a definite buzz of excitement in the air.  Getting photos of the little flowergirl, Poppy, was quite challenging as she never stopped running around until she saw her reflection in the mirror: my cue to click the shutter!  As professional photographers, Chris Read More

Cotswold Water Park Wedding Photographer – Laura & Jon

Hot, hot, hot…..  we’re not used to this weather!!  The variations in temperature this year have been ridiculous.  Chris and I are used to working in all conditions but my heart goes out to the groom’s party wearing their suits and waistcoats.  Laura & Jon were getting ready separately at The Cotswold Water Park Hotel and whilst I stayed with Laura to capture the excitement of bridal prep, Chris went with Jon & Aaron to the church in Charlton Kings. We’ve had a few weddings at this church; it has an unmistakable, beautiful, round, stained-glass window and as the church Read More

Clevedon Hall Wedding Photographer – Ginette & Kevin

We thought we were going to be lucky with the weather for Ginette & Kevin’s wedding, we’ve had so much rain, surely the clouds would run out of rain soon?  Upon arrival at the church, we were greeted by Kevin & his groom’s party in Naval & RAF uniforms and after the groom’s party in kilts last week, what else could a girl ask for …….   some sunshine maybe?  Ginette soon arrived at the church with her bridesmaids, dressed in a beautiful magenta colour.  With thunder overhead, we just got into the church before the heavens opened; excellent timing.  After Read More

Tortworth Court Wedding Photographer – Kelly & Gareth

The weather was amazing for April, such glorious sunshine.  Kelly and Gareth got married at the lovely hill top church in Old Sodbury: the views were spectacular.  Kelly arrived with her father in an open-topped car and emerged wearing a Justin Alexander dress, with layer upon layer of white tulle, the top layer being scattered with sequins and the silk bodice encrusted in Swarovski crystals.  Kelly wanted to look like a princess and she certainly did that!  Tortworth Court was the location for their reception and guests were greeted with sparkling, blue champagne to complement with their colour scheme.  We Read More
