The Bay Tree Wedding Photographers – Yen & Dries

Back again to The Bay Tree today, we love this venue: it has such character and the staff are so efficient & friendly, the food tastes pretty good too!  I love the story of how Yen & Dries met in Barcelona: Dries was at a conference and Yen was holidaying on her own after her sister was unable to join her.  Alone and at a loose end, they both decided to book themselves on a cycling tour around the city and the rest is history.  Fate was definitely intervening that day.  With family & guests flying in from Taiwan and Belgium, it was a very emotional ceremony and afterwards guests formed a flower arch to greet Yen & Dries.  Instead of just confetti, guests showered the couple with rose petals, lavender & rice.  Although lavender is very fragrant and rice is well ….. just rice (uncooked before anyone asks!), neither look great stuck in your hair!  Yen & Dries requested photos with the pretty, medieval town of Burford as a backdrop and we were more than happy to oblige.  The Tudor Court House with its pillars lent itself well to some lovely photos, this is where wealthy wool merchants used to meet and pay their taxes.  Nothing changes does it, we still pay our taxes!  There’s a little story behind the bottle of champers in the daffodils which Yen & Dries will appreciate, all we can say is ‘no daffs were harmed during the taking of this photo’!  I’ll leave them to explain that one.

If you are having a wedding at The Bay Tree, we’d love to hear from you.  You can see more Cotswold Weddings on our blog as well as more weddings throughout Gloucestershire.

Chris took this beautiful photo of the wedding rings on a sprig of Eucalyptus.  I am often with the bridal party capturing the excitement of everyone getting ready when Chris is taking this photo.  I don’t often see his shot until I am editing the images and I love to see what he has taken, great ingenuity and a brilliant photo, Chris (don’t tell him I said that though!)

A beautiful day, can we have some more days like this please?Check out the guy towards the back of the photo throwing the confetti, great shot!Open wide Dries, a yummy biscuit to keep you going …….
