Hot, hot, hot…..  we’re not used to this weather!!  The variations in temperature this year have been ridiculous.  Chris and I are used to working in all conditions but my heart goes out to the groom’s party wearing their suits and waistcoats.  Laura & Jon were getting ready separately at The Cotswold Water Park Hotel and whilst I stayed with Laura to capture the excitement of bridal prep, Chris went with Jon & Aaron to the church in Charlton Kings.

We’ve had a few weddings at this church; it has an unmistakable, beautiful, round, stained-glass window and as the church has special ties for Laura’s family, we made sure we took plenty of photos.  Laura and her bridesmaids arrived (unusually) 15 mins early and it made a pleasant change to watch some of the later guests scurrying into the church ahead of the bride!  After the ceremony, there was so much confetti that the guests had 3 opportunities of throwing it and they had it down to a fine art by the end!  Then it was back to the Cotswold Water Park Hotel for the reception where we took some fantastic photos of Laura & Jon with the spectacular views across the lake as a backdrop.  It was very tranquil and Laura & Jon enjoyed the time away from their guests to catch their breaths and take it all in.  It was a lovely day and the sun just kept on shining …….!
