We haven’t had the opportunity of photographing a wedding at Wyck Hill House before so we were really looking forward to Cherith & Rob’s special day. Cherith’s bridesmaids, Linda & Maddie, had the timing off to a tee and had even saved the instructions on how to lace up the back of the dress on a mobile phone. The couple got married at St Lawrence’s Church in the picturesque Cotswold village of Bourton-on-the-Water and we were greeted by a very relaxed vicar who gave an excellent sermon and who compared marriage to dancing and even squeezed a reference to ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ into the sermon; it was very entertaining. Wyck Hill House and the surrounding landscape looked lovely in the sunshine and it was important for Cherith & Rob to spend as much time as possible with their guests so we adjusted our timings accordingly. The flowergirls, Ellie & Lucia, looked like little princesses and were great entertainment for us while I took some lovely photos of them running, spinning and just lying on the grass. With Jill playing the harp in the background, guests & family enjoyed the beautiful summer’s day on the terrace. The cake, made by a chef friend of Cherith’s, was decorated with white chocolate curls and red berries, it looked so yummy and smelt divine.
