MARCH! Can someone please tell this weather that it is March and we are all waiting for Spring to arrive! We had a real déjà vu moment when we arrived at Becky’s parent’s house, we entered only to see Amy, a guest from last week’s wedding. Kingscote Barn is one of our favourite venues: local for us and having met Lisa & Andy there recently for a pre-wedding shoot and coffee in the local pub, it was like meeting up with old friends. We awoke to another wet day! However, Jessica & Martyn were not going to let a ‘little’ rain spoil their special day, celebrating their wedding at Kingscote Barn, a venue which we love with its spectacular views. Jo & Simon’s wedding was fun, fun, fun! What can I say about Rachel & Alex’s wedding day…… well apart from being a lovely day, it was very, very, wet! Apparently April 2012 was the wettest April on record and we definitely agree with that! I dropped Chris off at Kingscote Barn to photograph the groom’s party and went to Kirsty’s house to capture the excitement of the girls getting ready. A bottle of Veuve Clicquot was popped and the celebrations commenced and although I was offered a glass of bubbly, I thought I had better politely refuse at this stage. Mel & Dave had planned a relaxed wedding in the beautiful surroundings of Kingscote Barn. We had met Mel & Dave a few times in the run up to the wedding and I think they have to be the most romantic couple we have photographed so far this year. Mel’s skill as an art teacher was obvious judging by the the decorations in the barn and the 88 place settings: charicatures of the guests that she had painted in watercolours. Jo & Ed celebrated their wedding at Kingscote Barn, a venue which we love with spectacular views whatever the season. Jo arrived in a 1929 Vintage Cadillac, an amazing car and driven by Steve, who is always so friendly and keeps the car immaculate. A friend of the family was playing the piano as Jo entered the ceremony room, it was all very emotional and out came the hankies to dab away the tears.
