Kingscote Barn Wedding Photographer – Rachel & Alex

What can I say about Rachel & Alex’s wedding day…… well apart from being a lovely day, it was very, very, wet!  Apparently April 2012 was the wettest April on record and we definitely agree with that!  Rachel & Alex had chosen Kingscote Barn because of the amazing views across the Cotswold countryside but all we were greeted with was torrential rain, high winds and mist!  Saying that, we had a great day and everyone forgot about the dreary weather outside and family & guests celebrated Rachel & Alex’s wedding in the comfort of the barn.  We took most of the photographs inside but we made sure we were all metered up so that if the opportunity did arise, we could whisk the bride and groom outside for a few photos with the beautiful sweeping views as a backdrop.  The rain eased and Rachel & Alex ventured outside onto the terrace, the rain started again so up went the brolly and I really think that using an umbrella can make a photo look so dramatic in adverse weather conditions.  Rachel and Alex were so pleased that they had braved the conditions even if it was only for 3 minutes!!   Thank goodness we carry plain white and cream brollies, we don’t want any advertising logos in our photos, thank you very much!
