Kingscote Barn Photographer – Kirsty & Nick

I dropped Chris off at Kingscote Barn to photograph the groom’s party and went to Kirsty’s house to capture the excitement of the girls getting ready.  A bottle of Veuve Clicquot was popped and the celebrations commenced and although I was offered a glass of bubbly, I thought I had better politely refuse at this stage.  Kirsty wore a beautiful, couture organza & silk gown by Kate Sherford, which together with her full length veil, flowed beautifully in the breeze.  At the Barn, the ‘big’ games were put to good use by the guests, including the Bride’s Grandfather playing Jenga with all of his young grandchildren.  In the evening, we were entertained by friends ‘jumping’ for photos, Bonnie being the expert and to quote a guest, our photos were “awesome”.  Late in the evening, a rainbow appeared, how many couples are lucky enough to have a rainbow on their wedding day and are lucky enough to have their photographers capture such a special moment?  Guests danced the night away to the band ‘Detroit Soul’, Kirsty’s Uncle being the lead guitarist.  The couple spent their honeymoon backpacking around Bali, I can think of more relaxing holidays!
