Wedding Rings

Chris took this beautiful photo of Yen & Dries’ wedding rings on a sprig of Eucalyptus.  I am often with the bridal party capturing the excitement of everyone getting ready when Chris is taking this photo.  I don’t often see his shot until I am editing the images and I love to see what he has taken, great ingenuity and a brilliant photo, Chris (don’t tell him I said that though!) Kingscote Barn Wedding Photographer – Rebecca & Chris

We had a real déjà vu moment when we arrived at Becky’s parent’s house, we entered only to see Amy, a guest from last week’s wedding.  We had chatted to her and she did mention she had her brother’s wedding to go to soon but we never imagined it would be Chris.  It was a very funny moment especially the look on Amy’s face when she saw us too!  Becky and her bridesmaids, Ellie, Sophie & Lily, were all getting ready in the living room which meant I could really capture the buzz and excitement of the morning.  Chris had Read More

Kingscote Barn Wedding Photographers – Lisa & Andy

Kingscote Barn is one of our favourite venues: local for us and having met Lisa & Andy there recently for a pre-wedding shoot and coffee in the local pub, it was like meeting up with old friends.  After so much rain (remember all the recent flooding?) we had a dry day and also a tiny ray of sunshine, hooray!  It was fun watching the girls get ready and thanks to Ellie, the dresses finally got laced up!  Brandon wasn’t too impressed with his special present, a lovely teddy bear wearing a ‘best boy’ top as this was immediately jettisoned onto Read More

Cripps Stone Barn Wedding Photographer – Jo & Nick

Cripps Stone Barn. The weather forecast had promised torrential rain all afternoon but luckily for us, it did not materialise until the wedding breakfast.  Maybe it was all the umbrellas being clutched by the guests that did the trick ……!   Jo and her bridesmaids, Nicky, Hannah, Emma & Jo were getting ready at Barnsley House and there was a definite buzz of excitement in the air.  Getting photos of the little flowergirl, Poppy, was quite challenging as she never stopped running around until she saw her reflection in the mirror: my cue to click the shutter!  As professional photographers, Chris Read More

Kingscote Barn Wedding Photographers – Jessica & Martyn

We awoke to another wet day!  However, Jessica & Martyn were not going to let a ‘little’ rain spoil their special day, celebrating their wedding at Kingscote Barn, a venue which we love with its spectacular views.  So much thought had gone into the little touches: vintage name signs, candles, a huge mirror as a table plan, bunting, wishing trees, we had great fun photographing everything.  Jessica looked stunning in a gown from the Enzoani ‘s Blue collection: embroidered lace with a soft overlay of tulle and ruched bodice.  Jessica wore a precious stone and Swarovski crystal halter neck piece Read More

Kingscote Barn Wedding Photographers – Jo & Simon

Jo & Simon’s wedding was fun, fun, fun!  It was an early start for us as Chris was covering the groom’s party getting ready (including a giant game of chess!) at the Cotswold Water Park and I was taking photos of the girls getting ready at one of our favourite venues, Kingscote Barn.  Simon and his guests arrived on a red double decker bus, one of the old fashioned type with the open back and pole to grab hold of, providing some great photographic opportunities.  After the ceremony, the guests enjoyed champagne and canapés on the terrace whilst others played Read More

Cripps Stone Barn Wedding – Lyndsey & Kevin

Cripps Stone Barn. We awoke to find sunshine and blue sky: hooray after all the rain we’ve experienced lately.  On arrival at the church, we were treated to a wee bit of Scotland as all men from the groom’s family, including the groom himself, were dressed in kilts.  The little boys looked adorable in their kilts as they played hide and seek in the church grounds.  Lyndsey looked amazing in a ivory silk gown by Suzanne Neville, with a high neckline in French lace and low back with ruching detail.  It suited her to a tee.  After the ceremony, the Read More

Kingscote Barn Wedding Photographer – Rachel & Alex

What can I say about Rachel & Alex’s wedding day…… well apart from being a lovely day, it was very, very, wet!  Apparently April 2012 was the wettest April on record and we definitely agree with that!  Rachel & Alex had chosen Kingscote Barn because of the amazing views across the Cotswold countryside but all we were greeted with was torrential rain, high winds and mist!  Saying that, we had a great day and everyone forgot about the dreary weather outside and family & guests celebrated Rachel & Alex’s wedding in the comfort of the barn.  We took most of Read More

Cripps Barn Winter Wedding – Becky & Ben

Cripps Barn Winter Wedding, Becky & Ben’s very, very white wedding.  As wedding photographers, Chris and I are always being asked by couples how we cope with rain and snow.  Unfortunately the weather is so unpredictable in this country that we have contingency plans for all types of weather and indoor photography.  However, the weather we experienced in December 2010 was unprecedented, we awoke to very deep snow and we were determined we would get to Cripps Barn in the Cotswolds for Becky & Ben’s wedding.  It took quite a while to get there, but get there we did and Read More

Kingscote Barn Photographer – Kirsty & Nick

I dropped Chris off at Kingscote Barn to photograph the groom’s party and went to Kirsty’s house to capture the excitement of the girls getting ready.  A bottle of Veuve Clicquot was popped and the celebrations commenced and although I was offered a glass of bubbly, I thought I had better politely refuse at this stage.  Kirsty wore a beautiful, couture organza & silk gown by Kate Sherford, which together with her full length veil, flowed beautifully in the breeze.  At the Barn, the ‘big’ games were put to good use by the guests, including the Bride’s Grandfather playing Jenga with Read More
