Berkeley Castle Weddings. Kate & John held their wedding at Berkeley Castle, one of our favourite venues and just up the road from us. Kate was early for the ceremony, that’s so unusual but so very welcome as we were able to capture some lovely, relaxed moments in the courtyard. Some guests however, were not quite so punctual! Kate looked stunning in a San Patrick satin gown with beaded straps and asymmetric ruched bodice adorned with unique appliqué down the side. There were few funny moments in the ceremony, I won’t embarrass John but some of the wording was changed Read More
Berkeley Castle Wedding Photographers – Claire & Chris
Claire & Chris were married at Woodchester Priory, a beautiful church high on a hill in Nailsworth. The groom’s party wore kilts and as it was very windy day, all the girls were just wondering ‘what if the wind just whipped up a bit more?’ But it didn’t although I was ready with the camera! After the ceremony, Claire & Chris were driven to Berkeley Castle in a 1929 Vintage Cadillac, an amazing car driven by Steve, who is always so friendly and keeps the car immaculate. Berkeley Castle is amazing and steeped in history: one of our favourite venues. Read More
Berkeley Castle – Open Evening
We were invited to exhibit at Berkeley Castle for their open evening recently. It was a lovely evening and couples enjoyed tours around the castle and gardens. We’ve had a couple of weddings at Berkeley recently and after lots of interest at the fayre, we already have another couple of bookings there. Berkeley Castle is an amazing wedding venue, steeped in history, with beautiful gardens. Check out our posts for Natalie & Jon and Tracey & Ross for our most recent weddings there. Read More
Berkeley Castle Wedding – Natalie & Jon
After atrocious weather the day before, everyone breathed a sigh of relief to see the sun shining for Natalie & Jon’s Berkeley Castle Wedding. Taking photos of Natalie and her bridesmaids was so easy as everyone was very relaxed and her Dad helped with the lacing of the bodice, a lovely touch. Natalie wore a beautiful ivory duchess satin dress with rosettes and pleated bodice, she looked stunning, certainly the right dress for Berkeley Castle. Getting married in such an amazing venue, means you need a big dress! Her bridesmaid wore primrose coloured dresses, such a refreshing colour and to Read More
Berkeley Castle Wedding Photographers – Tracey & Ross
Tracey & Ross celebrated their wedding at one of our favourite venues, Berkeley Castle, an amazing castle steeped in history, overlooking the Severn and the Welsh Borders. First stop was Tortworth Court where both the bride and groom were getting ready. Chris photographed the groom’s party, which included a quick visit to the bar and later some photos on the gun terrace at the castle. Meanwhile, I was kept entertained by the four bridesmaids who were re-enacting a scene from ‘Blue Peter’ making a stand for the confetti cones. They seemed to use everything except ‘sticky backed plastic’, a great Read More
Tracey & Ross – Lifestyle Shoot
We met Tracey & Ross at Berkeley Castle to go through the last minute details for their wedding in a couple of weeks’ time. We then took the opportunity of doing a pre-wedding shoot just outside the castle grounds and here are a few of the photos. I particularly love the ones in the field, they look like watercolour paintings: soft pastel colours, so romantic. Tracey & Ross must have agreed as they chose an image of them sitting in the grass for their signature board. Read More
