This consists of 80 five-foot high sculptures of Gromit which have been individually decorated by local artists and can be spotted in and around the city of Bristol during the summer of 2013. This 5 storey windmill was built in 18th Century and overlooks the reed rustling salt marshes of North Norfolk with the sea in the distance. Cley windmill (prounounced ‘Cly’) is now a B&B and restaurant, check it out if you want to stay somewhere different on your honeymoon! Read More
Wide open spaces and uninterrupted views of the natural and dynamic coastline make for an inspiring visit to Blakeney, at any time of the year. It was bitterly cold when we visited and I definitely looked like the Michelin man as I was wearing so many layers but at least I was warm! Read More

Something for train enthusiasts………. This steam locomotive ‘Pitchford Hall’ was built in 1929; a member of the GWR4900 Class. Photo taken at Sheringham Station before it set off puffing along the tracks of the local ‘Poppy Line’. The trains of the 4900 class were all named after Halls, one of them being a wedding venue we cover ‘Dumbleton Hall’. Read More
We spent a lovely day on location photographing the Purton Ship Graveyard. The banks of the River Severn have historically suffered from tidal erosion. Between 1909 and 1965 redundant and unwanted vessels were beached on the foreshore and allowed to fill with silt. These formed a barrier and helped prevent the river eroding into the canal embankment. Thanks to Trevor for taking the photo of us on location. All this was thirsty work which of course meant a visit to a local village pub! Read More

Chris and I have just returned from a fantastic holiday in Burma. Tourism is still in its infancy there and we wish to share this fascinating, beautiful country with you through some of our favourite photos. As all Bristolians will know, Bristol was home to 60 life-sized gorilla statues which were painted by local artists as part of Bristol Zoo’s 175th birthday celebrations. This photo shows our favourite gorilla, ‘Gorisambard’ on the Clifton Suspension Bridge. Gorisambard was modelled on Isambard Kingdom Brunel and was the highest selling statue, going for £23,000, unfortunately not bought by us! This public art trail was enjoyed by many visitors and £427,000 was raised for charity. Read More
After photographing Charlotte & Neil’s wedding in Bibury, we spent the next day at a very relaxing Lavender Farm in Somerset. If you are a regular follower of our blog, you will know that Chris’ other love (besides me of course!) is photographing flowers, landscapes and wildlife. Chris and I took a short break down to the south coast near Lyme Regis recently to photograph Natterjack toads and to get some fabulous pictures of stone balancing with the glistening sea in the background.
