Chris & I love exploring castles in our spare time so we were very excited to be invited to photograph Pip & Graham’s exclusive wedding at Walton Castle. This stunning 17th Century hill top castle has dramatic views across the Bristol Channel. Pip & her 5 bridesmaids were relaxed and ready in plenty of time, the bridesmaids even arriving at the church before the groom. The couple were married at St Andrew’s Church in Clevedon, now well known for its tv appearances in the drama series, Broadchurch. With a quick stop off along the sea front for some photos with Clevedon Pier as a backdrop, we were soon on our way to the Walton Castle to join the party. The couple had requested very relaxed photography but it was also very important to them to have some beautiful, couple photos so we took them to the top of the Octagonal Keep and with the sun low in the sky, we were rewarded with beautiful, warm sunlight and took some amazing photos of a very relaxed & happy couple. The marquee in the grounds had been decked out with a country theme: blue bunting, chalk board, jam jars, wild flowers. There were some great speeches too, probably the best we heard in 2015 and we hear a lot of speeches! The evening was finished off with a huge party in one of the turrets, the next turret housing the bar, not too far to stagger for a drink!
