Helen & Mycroft’s Wedding – Winkworth Farm

Chris and I never take motorways on the day of weddings, it’s too much of a risk getting caught in a traffic jam so we left early and ‘bumped’ along the beautiful country lanes to Winkworth Farm.  Helen & Mycroft were hoping to get married outside in the Roundhouse but the good old British weather wasn’t playing ball, so their ceremony was inside the converted barn.  Afterwards, guests sipped on Pimms with brightly coloured straws and with blue skies and sunshine emerging, everyone enjoyed the beautiful gardens.  The autumn colours were showing in the rose garden and we took some lovely photos of Helen & Mycroft by the vines.  The rolling landscape beckoned, so we took them off for a stroll in the fields and then a few photos by the straw bales.  The barn is very eco-friendly so Helen made all the favours, heart shaped bird feeders and along with her mother and sister, baked a beautiful sponge cake decorated with lots of red berries.  In his speech, the bride’s father said he had sampled many cakes over the last few weeks but wasn’t complaining!

“Gillian & Chris, thanks for the excellent work on our wedding day and the pre-wedding shoot. Your relaxed and informal style really captured the feeling and atmosphere of our wedding. Coming back from honeymoon to find the images already online was great. The only problem we have had is narrowing down the photos to put into our wedding album! The way in which you put together the album was very professional and the changes were completed quickly and efficiently. Thanks very much for the amazing photos, we’ve had nothing but great comments from our guests on you both as well as the images.  Thanks,  Helen & Myc”
