Laura & Johnny were hoping for a gin blue sky, frosty winter wedding but were greeted with high winds and grey skies but this didn’t dampen their spirits. Laura looked stunning in her elegant Ritva Westenius dress and when she walked down the aisle of the church, Johnny was beaming with pride. Their reception was held at The Hare & Hounds Hotel at Westonbirt; a favourite place for us as we often frequent the bar after a walk in the nearby arboretum. Guests enjoyed mulled wine and canapés whilst we took Laura & Johnny off outside for some photos in Read More
Natalie & Ted’s Wedding – The Swan Hotel, Bibury
Natalie & Ted celebrated their wedding at The Swan Hotel in Bibury, a beautiful Cotswold venue. Natalie and her bridesmaids got ready in the cottages which was a lot of fun and as Nat had told me she wasn’t a ‘girlie girl’, I was amazed to see her dressed in a beautiful Benjamin Roberts gown, a real fairytale dress with tulle overlay. We made full use of the beautiful surroundings, with lots of photographs on the bridge overlooking the river. The foreign tourists were out in force, the Japanese particularly loving a white wedding and Natalie & Ted were very Read More
Jo & James’ Wedding – The Bay Tree Hotel
The weather forecast had been right for once: rain, rain and more rain. Thankfully, The Bay Tree Hotel in Burford is such a great venue with so many nooks and crannies for indoor photos. Is this a good time to mention the blue sticking plaster worn by Andy (father of the bride) on his injured thumb? Ummm maybe not …….. but it kept appearing in all the photos!! Jo looked stunning, wearing a beautiful gown Read More
Charlotte & Neil’s Wedding – The Swan, Bibury
Do the weather forecasters ever get it right? After predicting a sunny/cloudy but dry day, we had sun, heavy showers and thunder. Where has our summer gone? The ceremony was held at the quiet village church of Blunsdon St Andrew and the vicar, delivered one of the funniest sermons we have ever heard; very entertaining. Charlotte looked amazing and her bouquet from The Guelder Rose florists was quite unusual; two different types of roses (Aqua and Cezanne), Bouvardia and Eucalyptus foliage. After a few photos at the church, we headed for The Swan in the Cotswold village of Bibury. After Read More
