Birtsmorton Court – Georgina & Alex’s Wedding

Birtsmorton Court is an amazing place for a wedding and was chosen by Georgina & Alex to celebrate their marriage.  I joined Georgina & her bridesmaids to capture the excitement of the morning and Chris joined the groom’s party at the church.  Georgie looked stunning in a Paris Chiffon gown by Maggie Sottero: decorated with handmade flowers and Swarovski crystals with one shoulder crossing over into a dramatic open back.  Birtsmorton Church is located in the grounds of the house and the bridal party walked the short distance in the beautiful sunshine, passing the moated Manor House where they would later hold their drinks reception.  After the romantic ceremony, guests enjoyed champagne and canapés on the terrace overlooking the moat, what an amazing backdrop for a celebration.  We had just finished taking a few photos when the heavens opened, giving guests the opportunity to enjoy the spectacular Great Hall.  With umbrellas in hand (great for photos!) guests were escorted by the ushers across the courtyard to the wedding breakfast room which was beautifully decorated with tall cocktail vases containing roses, bouvadia, freesias, lisianthus and lilies: a white and green theme created by Floral Roundabout.  The stylish table plan by Millie & Me complemented the room.  The speech from the groom was hilarious; especially the part about him chauffeuring his new mother-in-law to Charlotte’s wedding, less said about that the better although we do see Julie in a different light now!  Contemporary Cake Designs worked their magic and produced an elegant cake which not only looked amazing but tasted great too!  Later in the evening, we had some sunshine and dramatic skies so we whisked Georgie & Alex off to the Rose Garden for some photos.  This gave them some quiet time together and we took some lovely, romantic shots from a distance.  It was a lovely wedding and we feel honoured to have had the opportunity to share in Georgie & Alex’s special day and capture the day as it unfolded.
