Cripps Barn Wedding – Vicki & Chris

What a great day to get married at Cripps Barn: our wedding anniversary! We’ve photographed a couple of weddings on previous anniversaries and it was lovely to share Vicki & Chris’ special day.

Cripps Barn Wedding Photographers

Vicki’s bouquet contained her Grandmother’s favourite flower; a Scabious, it was lovely to see this personal touch of remembrance and the bridesmaids’ dresses, flowers and cake all reflected the colour scheme of shades of lavender. Vicki’s sister, Claire had made the cake and it was decorated with sugared Grape Hyacinths. The couple’s Jack Russell Terrier, Rufus was keen to have his back massaged whilst Vicki was having her makeup applied and then disgraced himself in the garden just before everyone left for Cripps Barn by rolling in something undescribable but all I will tell you was the smell was very pungent.  Sue, Vicki’s Mum, came back later that evening to give Rufus a good scrub, it probably wasn’t what she envisaged doing on her daughter’s wedding day. Thank goodness everyone managed to keep him away from Vicki’s beautiful Suzanne Neville bridal gown. Cripps Barn looked magnificent decorated with so many wild flowers & Graham Russ performed acoustic guitar during the ceremony and on the terrace during the drinks reception on what turned out to be a perfect, Autumnal day. The evening light was superb and we rarely ask couples to leave their wedding breakfast for extra photos but the groom being a keen photographer (no pressure!) could see that the warm, soft light was perfect for photography so we headed off to the fields for some evening pictures. Just before we left, we were presented with champagne and chocolates to celebrate our anniversary which was a lovely thought.

We love a ‘Thank You’ Card “We wanted to write to thank you for photographing our wedding day on your ‘wedding anniversary’!  We absolutely love our photos, they really capture every carefully planned (and unplanned!) element of our special day perfectly.  They really are a record we will treasure forever.  We will be sure to recommend you to all our engaged friends so hopefully, our paths will cross again,  With thanks & very best wishes, Vicki & Chris”

You might be asking the question “why should we invest in two photographers?”  If you wish to see the benefits of commissioning Chris and me to photograph your wedding, please have a look at our ‘Cripps Barn – Two Photographers’ post.
