Kingscote Barn Wedding – Lou & Matt’s Autumnal Wedding

Loved Lou & Matt’s Kingscote Barn Wedding  –  The first words Lou uttered to me were “I’ve been stalking you on social media” which was an interesting opening line and as we chatted, Chris & I knew their wedding was going to be so much fun and slightly ‘off piste’. The first sign of it not being a ‘normal, run of the mill’ wedding was when Lou ditched the idea of sparkly, stiletto heels for the comfort of cowboy boots, my kinda gal! The second sign, were the tiny Lego Star Wars characters in the bouquets & button holes, thank Read More

Manor by the Lake – Roxanne & Sammy’s Wedding

This was our first wedding at the Manor by the Lake and we were blown away by it: beautiful gardens, amazing reception rooms, huge bridal suite and the staff were helpful and friendly.  With such a large, lively bridal party, we knew this wedding would be fun. After saying ‘Hi’ to Roxanne, I packed Chris off to photograph Sammy and shadow the groom’s party. I was out on the balcony with the flowergirls when I spotted Chris photographing the groom’s party below, never liking to miss an opportunity, I took a picture at the same time capturing this moment. Two Read More

Kingscote Barn Wedding Photographers – Katy & Simon’s Wedding

As recommended Kingscote Barn Wedding Photographers, Chris & I love returning to this amazing venue.  As we drove down the drive, we were greeted by fields upon fields of yellow oilseed rape, WOW! what a beautiful sight. Simon had hired an Aston Martin Vanquish Volante for the weekend and it was proudly parked outside Kingscote Barn. Vrooom vrooom that was all I could hear in the morning as the lads sat in the car, sat on the car, looked under the bonnet, stroked the car …. get the idea? Having two photographers means we can capture the anticipation and excitement Read More

Birtsmorton Court Wedding – Becky & Chris

Seaside themed wedding anyone? This is exactly what Becky & Chris had planned for their Birtsmorton Court Wedding although I don’t think they had planned on torrential downpours as part of the theme.  Birtsmorton Court is an amazing venue and one we cannot recommend highly enough; if you are looking for a picturesque, Medieval venue with a Moat, look no further!   Becky & her bridal party got ready in the very impressive bridal suite and as the rain hammered on the windows and the champagne flowed, guests were arriving at the church looking like drowned rats albeit in rather Read More

Great Tythe Barn Wedding – Jess & Jonny

Great Tythe Barn Wedding Photographer – Being Jess & Jonny’s Great Tythe Barn Wedding Photographers was always going to be great fun. Jess and I ‘got’ each others’ sense of humour straight away and everytime I visited her Total Look Hair Salon, we chatted about her wedding so I was over the moon when she asked us to be her photographers. I think that every bride should own their own hair salon; the lighting was great for hair & makeup & everything was to hand: grips, hairspray, clips and straighteners galore. A quick bridal party wander along the High Street Read More

Caswell House Wedding – Becky & Phil

Do we still get excited about photographing weddings – yes we do!  This was our first Caswell House Wedding and having spent a couple of really fun hours with Becky & Chris during their engagement shoot last Autumn, we anticipated a great day and we were not disappointed. A large bridal suite meant plenty of space for Becky to get into her stunning Justin Alexander gown (remind me, Sue & Emma how many times did the underskirt get adjusted?). Becky’s parents were bursting with pride and the emotions on the faces of the bridesmaids as they saw her in her Read More

Kingscote Barn – Katie & Nathan’s Winter Wedding

Chris & I were very excited to be returning to Kingscote Barn for the umpteenth time, this time for the Winter Wedding of Katie & Nathan. I headed for Wills Cottage and Chris went to the Barn to photograph the groom’s party and guests arriving. I was greeted by Katie and her bridesmaids dressed in matching blue PJ’s, drinking champagne and the smell of bacon wafting down the drive. Toby, the resident farm dog and I had the same idea, ummmm bacon sarnies and although I was offered one, I declined and poor Toby was just left licking his lips, Read More

Cripps Barn Wedding – Vicki & Chris

What a great day to get married at Cripps Barn: our wedding anniversary! We’ve photographed a couple of weddings on previous anniversaries and it was lovely to share Vicki & Chris’ special day. Vicki’s bouquet contained her Grandmother’s favourite flower; a Scabious, it was lovely to see this personal touch of remembrance and the bridesmaids’ dresses, flowers and cake all reflected the colour scheme of shades of lavender. Vicki’s sister, Claire had made the cake and it was decorated with sugared Grape Hyacinths. The couple’s Jack Russell Terrier, Rufus was keen to have his back massaged whilst Vicki was having Read More

Kingscote Barn Wedding – Rebecca & Chris

Kingscote Barn is one of our favourite venues and we returned to the Barn for Rebecca & Chris’ wedding reception.  We had a real déjà vu moment when we arrived at Becky’s parent’s house, we entered only to see Amy, a guest from last week’s wedding.  We had chatted to her and she did mention she had her brother’s wedding to go to soon but we never imagined it would be Chris.  It was a very funny moment especially the look on Amy’s face when she saw us too!  Becky and her bridesmaids, Ellie, Sophie & Lily, were all getting Read More

Walton Castle Wedding – Pip & Graham

Chris & I love exploring castles in our spare time so we were very excited to be invited to photograph Pip & Graham’s exclusive wedding at Walton Castle. This stunning 17th Century hill top castle has dramatic views across the Bristol Channel. Pip & her 5 bridesmaids were relaxed and ready in plenty of time, the bridesmaids even arriving at the church before the groom. The couple were married at St Andrew’s Church in Clevedon, now well known for its tv appearances in the drama series, Broadchurch. With a quick stop off along the sea front for some photos with Read More

The Swan Hotel, Bibury Wedding – Sara & Marcus

A ‘Quacking’ Good Day!!  Back to one of our favourite venues; The Swan Hotel Bibury and this time, both Sara and Marcus were getting ready at the hotel (separately obviously!) Their ceremony was held at St Mary’s Church in the village so only a short walk from the hotel for the guests. Sara was chaffeured in Matt’s Father’s car, an Austin 10 and trying to get the dress into the small car was quite a challenge.  After the ceremony, guests were each handed a red balloon so they could stroll back along the river to the hotel adding a splash Read More

Cripps Stone Barn Wedding – Emma & Chris

After meeting Emma & Chris last May, we knew this would be a relaxed, fun wedding.  We were really looking forward to returning to Cripps Stone Barn after last year’s helicopter flight, (check out Lyndsey & Kevin’s blog post for the full story).  On arrival at Emma’s parents’ house, Alan (Emma’s father) was organising everybody and even ticked a box on his timeline to show we were there – what a great project manager!  I often recommend plenty of time for bridal preparations but this doesn’t always happen.  Thankfully,  Emma had given herself plenty of time and with Jodi Croft doing Read More
