Our first 30 mins on arrival at Cadbury House were spent in the car, waiting for the torrential rain to stop ……which it did, eventually.  This is the first wedding we have photographed in quite a while where the whole bridal party have been ready in plenty of time.  No last minute panics, nobody rushing and everyone was so relaxed which meant some great photos.  Amy & Tim ‘tied the knot’ with a civil ceremony & had a couple of readings which we were unfamiliar with; “The One” and “Extract from the Velveteen Rabbit by Margery Williams”.  The weather looked more promising in the afternoon and as guests enjoyed their drinks on the lawn, we took a few requested photos before taking Amy & Tim for a quick walk to the summerhouse.  I was still clutching a brolly in case the rain returned, as a professional photographer, you always need to be prepared.  With the strong winds, Amy’s veil decided to do what a lot of veils do, blow away and after a quick retrieve, I deftly placed it back in Amy’s hair.  The views were spectacular although venturing near the fountain was a bit risky as the wind kept whipping the spray in our direction.  So maybe we were destined to get wet today after all?  We returned to the hotel to find not even the hardiest of guests outside, everyone had returned to the warmth of the bar and lounge.  And, who could blame them?
